ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• Hurricane Make-up Days: Please note the following schedule changes. The following days will be full school days: February 17 and April 18.

• Kindness Week: We are thrilled to announce that on Friday, February 7th, we will be kicking off Kindness Week! From February 9th to February 14th, our school will be involved in a variety of activities to demonstrate love, compassion, and generosity
  towards others.

• Kindness Grams: Kindness Grams class bundles are available for pre-order. Proceeds are going to help fund 6th grade
  end of the year activities. Last day to pre-order is February 12th at https://tinyurl.com/KindnessGrams2025.
  Choose between the following: Inspirational Pencils – $15 per class, Sticky hands – $20 per class, or Flying dinosaurs – $20 per class.
  Kindness Grams will be distributed to the classrooms on February 14th. Individual items will be available to purchase on February 13th before school, February 13th and 14th during recess.(Cash only for the table sales. All items will be $1)

• Student-Led Conferences: Join us on February 20th for this fantastic opportunity to connect with your child’s learning and celebrate their growth! Your child will take center stage, leading the conference discussion. They’ll proudly share their work, progress, and goals, showcasing their learning journey throughout the semester. Teachers will schedule these appointments.

• Spring Sensation: Our 1st and 2nd Graders are excited for their Spring Sensation performance: Off Their Rockers! There are two showtimes available: Thursday, March 6 at 9:30 am & Thursday, March 6 at 12:30 pm. Tickets will go on sale on Feb 18th at 6pm at https://tinyurl.com/SpringSensation2025. Seating will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Seating assignments will be provided when you check in at the performance. If you have any questions email help@rlsfundraising.org.

• Spring Picture Day: This is a Non-Uniform Picture Day on Friday, March 7th. Students can wear Spring clothes, or any BPS-appropriate clothes to school for this picture day.

• Positions open on the PVFO: All PVFO seats are up for election every two years. This Year’s openings are for Secretary and PALs Coordinator. All candidates must be in good standing with the Stevenson community. An entry form will be available in March.

• Grade Level Hosted Staff Lunch: Each month a different grade level provides lunch to the Stevenson Staff (approximately 60) as a way of showing appreciation. Dates: February 20 – Second Grade, March 25 – First Grade, April 15 – Kindergarten.

• Out of Uniform Day: Each month there will be an Out of Uniform Day. The students can dress up according to the theme or wear any BPS dress code attire. Closed-toe shoes are required. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

• Spring Sensation: Volunteers are needed to help set up chairs, sign families into the shows, and re-stack chairs after Thursday’s performance. We try to Pay it forward, we are seeking volunteers from other Grade families to help with certain aspects of the performance on 3/6/2025 so the 1st and 2nd Grade Families can enjoy the show. • Career Day Volunteers: The Annual Career Day is March 12th from 9 am-11 am. Are you Interested in sharing your career with students? Please take a moment to tell us more about your job. All submissions are due by the end of the school day on February 26th: bit.ly/StevensonCareerDay. If you are interested in being a part of the planning team, please send an email to Mrs. Tuttle. Planning will begin after Kindness Week.

• Shopping Needs: The school has asked for several items. If you could please help us fill the request. Note: ALL time spent shopping and delivering items counts toward your required volunteer hours. • Car Loop Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers are needed each morning and afternoon to assist with the smooth operation of the car loop. This is a great way to earn your volunteer hours. Parents who volunteer at least a week receive a “Fast Pass” pack to use on the days you choose. Please review the available time slots to sign up. • Please bookmark this link to the new and improved Digital Volunteer Hours Log! Fill out this form each time you volunteer to record your volunteer hours. If you have multiple students use your oldest student’s information.

• Become an Approved Volunteer: If you have not yet done so and plan to volunteer in person at the school, please be sure to become a registered volunteer. Volunteer registration is also required if you wish to be considered as a chaperone on any field trip. Please use the link below to review more details and submit an application if this is something you are considering! Please know that the application must be fully approved before being able to volunteer on campus, so don’t delay! This is done at the BPS building in Viera, it is normally $35- but as of right now, it is FREE! We do not know how much longer the costs will be waived.
