In 2017, R. L. Stevenson Elementary was one of three Brevard County schools to be designated as a prestigious National Blue Ribbon School. The program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
